Introduction of The Project
The ongoing project is located in the area no. 1 of in the Tara VDC ward no. 7 of Baglung District in Dhaulagiri Zone of Western Nepal, where as the design of last survey of 500KW of Hydropower Project is going to be made from 2068 Baishak, (April 2011).
Capacity of the Project
The flowing capacity of Upper Tarakhola Stream is about 500 liters per second and height and from fore bay to Power house is recorded 115 meters. The power production is estimated about 500KW on basis of the flowing capacity of water. The power generated by the Project will be distributed to the 2100 households of Tara, Argal and Hila VDCs. It will be distributed after the agreement done to Nepal Government Electricity Authority.
The period of the Project to complete
The Upper Tarakhola Community Mini Hydropower project will be started at the beginning of 2068 Baishak and it will be lasted after the 18 months from the date of starting
